That is much better than his old web page diatribe. He just needs to get rid of his blinkers about AGM charging rates! The rest of it has the odd bit of hyperbole and oversimplification but a lot of good sense.

Perhaps, as his product range becomes less dependent on alternator boosters, he's being a bit more honest about batteries.

Let me add my strong recommendation for this web site. The owner, who goes by the name of Maine Sail (he is from the state of Maine and he's a sailor :encouragement is arguably the most meticulous person I have encountered in the marine industry. His day job is maintaining and repairing yachts, primarily anything electrical but he does go into many other areas.

Before he recommends anything to one of his customers he tests that product extensively in his shop or on his own boat. Everything he posts is based on extensive testing and hard data.

His website also has many excellent how to articles with photos and step by step instructions on the process.
