Jim......you nearly got me the sack! My boss came into the office just as I tried your link and I was laughing so much I couldn't drop the forum and show my workings on this box! Had a lecture on using the internet in work time.

Your a mad bad man!

Just bought 2 110amp Exide leisure batteries price £50 each which have a 2 year guarentee from the local motor factors. I did look at 110amp batteries from a caravan shop which also had 2 year guarantee and priced £40 each. They were called Newman, or new...something similar, however they were definately much heavier than the Exide batteries and there was a great stack of them so I wondered how old they were. Exide batteries had a label which said if not fitted by Sept 2004 the batteries whould be charged. Decided I had confidence in Exide and also in the motor factor who I am sure will be reasonable about the warranty. Paul

I am looking for a new battery at the mo

Found these guys http://www.marine-batteries.co.uk

Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) or them ?

I am particularly after a dual purpose one.
I have one battery for engine start and low domestic use.

Never 100% convinced this isn't just a labelling/marketing con ...

I am sure that, not all, but many "Marine" batteries just have nice labels.
