Alpha-batteries - Nowhere near Portsmouth!

I would have agreed with Boathook and suggested Barden in Segensworth. Easy access from the M27, you can talk to the staff, see what you're buying and it's only a short trip back if you have any issues..

For anyone else - try the place on Clovelly Rd, Southbourne, West Sussex. Can't remember the biz name but very hepful & reasonaly priced. Got my domestic batter there a couple of years ago.

Alpha offered free delivery, or at least the price l paid was very competitive, compared to some asking for a £40 pallet fee, which is why l wanted to go and pick up the units myself.

I live in the Portsmouth area and am looking for new batteries but am thinking again now.

Would also recommend Barden at Segensworth (just off the roundabout - if coming up from the M27 go all the way round) .......... very helpful - put me right when I wanted to order the wrong starter battery - sorted me out and weren't prohibitively expensive! Even carried it out to the car for me! Full marks.
