Basic questions on using the forum

Please could someone explain simply ;-
1) Is it possible to type a post/repy off line - I type very slowly
2) How do you attatch a picture/photo to your name or a post/reply

You could type a reply in word, then cut and paste it when you want to post it. For the images in your post you need to use the Markup tags. You'll find those in the FAQ section of the forum

Just get to the "New Post/reply page" and disconnect the internet. Then when you press send, it will log itself back on automatically.

Better not to use Word unless you format carefully. If you paste in from Word it often is too wide and causes the whole thread not to fit width-wise, so you have to scroll left/right to read it.

Instructions on pictures in posts are in the help section of this site. The picture has to be somewhere on the net already, and then you use mark up (ie things like [image] and [*/image] but without the astersik (which I put there to make it show as text) to create an auto link to the picture. Pictures by your name are done by putting the picture's url in the box in your profile

A big thank you to all three of you. I will have a go and see what happens. Technology is much more troublesome now we no longer have a teenager at home!
