Number one granddaughter is racing for her college on a yacht this weekend. There is a prize for the best cake mixed and baked during the race.
I might try to introduce this to my club racers. We are lucky to get a stale biscuit!

All my granddaughters are equal - no favourites like No 1. I have 5 - I would not dare!

:)

When the wind drops off and we run the engine we turn the break maker on - actually we anticipate and only turn the engine on when nearing the anchorage which gives enough time for the baking mode - is a bread maker allowed?

But I like the idea of the competition

In 2013 when we did the Fastnet race, we had a roast dinner and freshly made ice cream (made that day) as we rounded the rock.

I've just found our menu for the week we were racing.. It does look like a bit of an advert for Mr D's Thermal cooker.

Fastnet race 2013 - Sophie's menu

Crew dressed for the banquet as we rounded the rock in thick fog...

Quite right too.
We do have minimum standards to maintain.
I trust there was proper table setting with name cards?

We don't run to a breadmaker but do have some ex Kenwood Chef tools which are fitted to a battery drill.
The Makitamixer.
