Bad Service

Your pal DR marine Saw a pic of it before they proceeded.

What part of he was told verbally everything to rig the engine was present do you not understand. As ive said all these verbal agreements are worthless. As ive also said everything has now been supplied and nothing more needs to be said but you seem to like this drama so much you cant let it go.

Sorry for what? Who removed the engine in the first place and forgot to include the loom, the cause of this issue in the first place.

The previous owner, who was also the seller, apparently

Why did it take so long for somebody to let us know that the loom was still in the old owners boat.

Ditto

Its all well in good him saying all he did was pallet the engine but they were both involved in the deal at some level

No, BlackDog says he wasn't

and information has not been forthcoming just a lot of buck passing.

If BlackDog wasn't party to the deal, why should he be accepting the buck or communicating?

You do not seem to know enough about what was going on to contradict what BlackDog said, and hence it seems to me you owe him an apology.

So he says... Why didn't he say this to us from the start. Why did it take for me to post this for him to say the loom was still in the old owners boat.

Because he probably had no idea.
Same as the the location of the owners lifejackets or the picnic the owner had last Thursday.

He’s stored an engine on request of the owner. Stuck it on a pallet. Sent it to you.
That’s it.

HOW can it be there fault the loom was missing??? BDM have already said it is still attached to the previous owners boat! Why was it not sent???

They remove engine which was then put into storage and then sold, were they told to remove loom ? Or was it kept in boat for the next engine fitted ? Lots of unanswered questions here.

How do you know any of this is true for sure, your taking someones word against another.

I'm happy to draw a line under the issue, to be honest i regret posting it online without getting all the information first.
I was annoyed at the total lack of progress. Whatever way you want to spin it all partys are involved in the deal verbally and its impossible to now get to the bottom of who said what.

Blame is on the cash handlers - buck stops where the £££ ended up .

Ollie - to DR Maine —-to Mr L .

Somebody demonstrate exactly where Black dog fitted in . with a sale of goods hat on

Yes i agree, the persons responsible are those that were paid for their part in the deal, this was clearly not BDM who by the sound of it made nothing out of the sale nor were involved in the sale other than putting engine on a pallet and sending on, would be more useful to name the other dealer involved and get his side of the story but somehow I don’t think that’s going to happen.

What does your invoice have shown on it ? I’m sure any reputable dealer will list what you have bought on invoice so you have proof of purchase.

I think the op knows he has royally messed up here and instead of retracting his claims just want's it all to be forgotten about so he doesn't have to apologize. If I was BDM, the op would be getting a recorded letter in the post.

Erm no As i said it was all verbally agreed. I have no more details than you already know. I was under the impression BDM looked after this engine, knew its history and removed it from the boat. Hence me thinking they left the loom in the old vessel or misplaced it and were being intentionally hard to get hold of over it.

If BDM genuinely had as little to do with the deal as he says then i appologise for posting it on here as its the previous owner at fault, I have no way to prove this either way. All i know is I've got my loom, i've drawn a line under it, You can draw your own conclusions. I'm OUT OF HERE.

You don’t have to go.

Slightly shaky start, but having apologised, you could post up a picture of your boat and join in ?

There are many friendly and experienced people on here.

So you came on here trying to ruin a companies reputation because you were "Under the impression" BDM tried to rip you off when they had nothing to do with it. BDM came on here and gave an honest account of what happened, they didn't have too. I would keep my fingers crossed BDM accept your half harted apology and i would be second guessing your own peoples credibility in all of this.

+1
spouting forth here as fact while being one place removed and not having a grasp of the facts at all, merley 'understanding' you have - poor show and unfair on BDM.

Wow that went a little crazy! Just for the record as in one of my posts the dealer called me at least two or three times a day I spoke with him on many occasions! In fact it was so much I got fed up with him calling and me giving him the same answer which was...... You need to call the guy you bought it off to find out where the missing parts are! Not once did Ollie ever call or try and call that I am aware off.
Yes I didn't always call the dealer back because the only answer I could give him was the same I answer I have given him a few hours ago and the day before and the day before that.
Also one other thing I want to point out is when I did speak to the previous owner he has realised he still had the loom on his boat he ( so he tells me) had called DR marine and offered to pay money towards the cost of the missing parts. So I don't know why the sales rep had to get involved. Enough said.

Mate you're still digging here. It's not us you should be apologising to - it is Black Dog Marine. Stop bleating and do the right thing.

If that’s true, and I doubt it to be anything other that so, then my previous post is not relevant to you, I think that maybe Ollie was being deliberately vague regarding to whom he was trying to talk to and whether it was him or his dealer; in his original post.
No offence meant and again, well done for turning this potentially damaging thread to your favour.

Recorded letter in the post. All that would do would make matters worse. Far too much resorting to Lawyers going on in the world.
