Bad Service

Well yes, I don't mind it being on here because we have done absolute nothing wrong and I'm not trying to hide anything. I just wish Ollie could have spoken to me before this was put on this forum and many other forums! I'm assuming his dealer didn't give him our details as it sound like they have told him we supplied the engine rather than a private individual they bought it from.
I will be very interested to here what Ollie has to say. I know his thread has been removed from another forum for the above reasons. I didn't ask them to remove it though!
Ollie seems to think by his title that we sold the engine to his dealer why could he not just have picked up the phone and made a quick call all this would have been cleared up before it got out of hand.

You are very calm in your manner.

If your account is correct I'd have been at my solicitors pdq.

I have used Blackdog Marine to service my boat and can honestly say Rob is a first rate chap who has always provided me with a great service.

I am just pleased that not every one thinks rushing to solicitors is the answer. It seldom is. All you end up doing is loosing even more money

Apparently the op has done this elsewhere.......A solicitor's letter demanding he cease and apologise is hardly going to break the bank.

Threads like thjs could cause damage to a reputation and therefore needs protecting.

Assuming the op is wrong in his account.

IMHO this thread is all about causing trouble and tarnishing a reputation.

Bump back to the top ,

oh Mr ollie, come out, come out, where every you are ! you need to say something Quick, your starting to look silly !

People who start a post like this should be banned from the forum, there’s no place for this kind of behaviour here. Shame an apology has not been made yet.

It’s had the opposite effect on what was intended from the OP. The response from the company seems perfectly reasonable and we have nothing from the OP saying any different in response. I love an under dog......pardon the pun :)

Not gone in hiding been working that's all.

OK so if the loom etc is still fitted to the previous owners boat why did it take so long to get that information to us?
I really didn't want to take it down this route but i did because i felt like i was having my pants pulled down,
the lack of information for weeks and weeks because of your refusal to answer the phone.

From my point of view i was in the dark throughout the deal and under the impression it would cost me more ££

Luckily the merc rep has now supplied whats required, to save the hassle of a depute between two dealers.

It all could have been avoided if communication was better in the first place.

That may well be true, but it still appears you're blaming someone other than the supplier. As I understand it all BDM do was pack it and ship it. Surely your complaint is with the seller...?

From what i'm told the only way we got him to talk to us was he was called from different numbers.

Anyway, As far as i'm now concerned because the merc rep has now supplied whats required at his cost. This depute and all the tit for tat, pass the buck bulls?@t is over. I don't see much point carrying this thread on.

Lesson learnt from my point of view. Conduct negotiations myself in future.

Mods please close.

Ollie, the lesson that you should be learning from this is to better understand who you are buying from. From what he says, Black Dog Marine had no part other than to put the O/B on a pallette. Therefore you had no contract with him and should not be putting the blame for your apparent confusion at his door.
