A/pilot all fixed?

Haven't made it up to VF yet this summer - because of all the debugging. Hoping to get there on Sunday. And no, no progress with the autopilot yet - that's the last thing to resolve. Oddly, the only time it has worked perfectly was coming back from Gallice the other weekend when the port engine was shut down. In every other test, without exception, it has failed with 'drive stopped'.

Incidentally, my selfie was taken in the same spot that you sowed the seed for this whole adventure, eight years ago, with a Sunday breakfast on Braveheart. A *lot* has happened since then!

Ah yes that photo is La Garoupe/Keller beach, not villefranche. Doh!!. And I was anchored there in your exact spot only 2 days ago! Blimey, 8 years, time flies scarily fast doesn't it. Well, the best thing to do with 8 years or indeed one year is make sure a *lot* happens in it, so good going! :D

Come on JFM even I knew that....my second Keller beach spot in as many months :)

Looking great fella..........lovely job!
However I can't believe your OCD puts up with the angle of the anemometer arm. To me it needs to go 90 degrees forward or aft??
Hope you get the pilot sorted soon, let us know if you need anything.

The pic is a bit misleading. The arm is actually set horizontally 45 degrees off centre out and to the back of the base fitting, and because of the nature of the base plate on which this is all mounted, there were basically only a couple of choices for the mounting position. It looks ok in the flesh, honest. Come and have a look at it for yourself - you're always welcome.

I've enjoyed watching updates on this thread, boat look great and although you've run in to issues along the way (to be expect) the end result is well worth it.
