Back to the UK for a winter refit

Love the Fairline logo in the seat back.... was it Martin at MJ?

Nope, this was Tockfield in Derbyshire - they were the oe T40 upholstery supplier to Fairline. The logo is a heat brand - I've used it on the helm seat, and in two places on the main cockpit seating. The oe seating also had screen-printed 'targa' graphics, but these aren't available now, and I don't like the stitched-in graphics, so I used an extra shield logo instead.

Nice going Jimmy. I reckon paint the seat block white. Upholstery might look a bit tacky. Spray primer/filler and then gloss white, I reckon.

On the swim platform, you have two white moodlights. Do you think it needs two more the same - one to left of passerelle drawer and one to right of SSR plate?

You're right about the upholstery; I'll either paint or wrap it, haven't decided yet. Might wait until I've actually tried it at sea (ie to make sure we've got the dimension right) before doing anything.

No plans to add more lighting on the platform. I'll see how it all looks when teaked, but I don't want it overlit; I think the existing lights will prob be enough.

I'm looking forward to the day I have a to-do list with 50things on it.
Currently on a to-do BOOK with probably 50pages on it :p

Vas, you'll be pleased to hear that today resulted in a net increase in my to-do list: first job was to service the generator, which unfortunately revealed a leaky water pump, and a failed exhaust elbow (what is it with me and exhaust elbows ffs... :D). So all that plus the heat exchanger exited the boat this afternoon, and we need to figure out a plan to resolve that tomorrow. Next job was to figure out how to route the ancam cable: the bnc connectors are too big for the available route, so I need to chop them off and splice in a cable extension. Oh good. And finally we cut off one of the rollers from the bow roller so that I could fit my new anchor and banana swivel. It's all a bit big. Hmm. I need to figure out a solution. Oh, and I put my finger through a vent grille over the cockpit fridge, so now I need a new one of them as well. Happy days...

All sorted now?

Evening BJB

Sorry for delay - been away for a few days chasing Deleted User round the Highlands :D

Afaik, things not yet resolved with the generator - should know more tomorrow. And I'm hoping to get some time with Bob the Amazing Fabricator to figure out what we need to do to make the slightly-depleted bow roller work with the new anchor...
