Nice work!
Nice job!
We had our boat name done in stainless and the guy who did it suggested a backing to each letter (some kind of plastic with polished edges). We went for it and the result is excellent. A more defined effect than stainless alone. Might be worth considering petem![]()
Hi Vas,
It's 2mm stainless (cut from pre polished 316 sheets). Attached with 3m vhb tape. In Greece you might be able to get an engineering firm to polish after cutting if mirror stainless not available.
Pete
Im sure it's very modern and all that but it just looks like a spelling mistake to me.

I'm not with you. What looks like a spelling mistake?
Well, frankly the "R" is hard to read, sort of.
But I also would have kept the OEM look, fwiw.
If anything, you might have considered calling her a 42, by now...![]()
Will follow up via pm asap.
thanks Pete,
main issue is due to painted hull, I wouldn't dare glue the letters as removing them will mostlikely damage the paintwork and I'm not keen on masking elaborate forms when respraying. Will probably check the drill and bolt through option but I'm worried that the mig/tig whatever welding will leave a mark on the front of the polished letter. Anyone got some experience on that?
cheers
V.
PS. sorry for the slight thread drift J
