Was looking at a Az 50 F/B at the weekend - just delv. to new owners.

V. nice boat with large F/B with big overhang to the cockpit area. What was odd though is there is no provision from the factory for a cockpit cover which in UK is a must surely?

No track or fixings on the mouldings at all.

Is that normal? or have they forgotten to install these

Hmmm, seems strange indeed, I was looking at one in LaRague the other day and it defo had a cockpit cover which looked like a factory fit but didn't really take much notice, they do have em on all the other models right down to the 42 and 39.

Perhaps the owners spec'd her without for some reason or its a dealer fit on delivery.

You don't see many cockpit covers on FB boats in the Med so I guess the AZ won't have a factory fitted system. Anyway if there was a factory fit, it would likely be 3 x the price of a system from a UK specialist

Ah clearly a dealer fit.

When I got my boat the factory had fitted the runner and supplied the cover leaving Princess at Swanwick to fit same ie fit the press-studs etc.

I also noticed at LIBS when the M50 was 'launched' that the cockpit runner was fitted quite far forward on the cockpit deckhead thus rendering the rear seat unusable due to the angle of the rear cover. This was changed on later ones.

Azimut agents in the UK are Peters Opal and they use C & J for the majority of their work and when I was last down at Chichester Marina the Azimut line up there all had C & J covers on them.

I think that the factory obviosuly let the delay fit what covers they or the owner wants so different options depending on UK boat or Med boat etc.

From my experience C & J do a great job
