Awlgrip coatings - are they any good?

I Awlgripped the hull on my sailboat in 1989 before a three year liveaboard cruise in USA and Caribbean and it was excellent. The colour was vibrant, in my case jade green, and it stood up to the stresses of voyaging in tropical climes very well. Heartily recommended.

Awlgrip is ultra high quality. It's quite common for blue grp boats to be awlgripped in the med, and provided it's been done right you should have no problem. Is it a camargue 55?

My boat was painted with Awlgrip (Flag Blue) about 7 years ago and whilst she has been in channel waters the shine is as good as the day she was painted with no polishing or buffing required. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
