I agree - the big one at the show had a weird keel arrangement. Also the rudder at the back of the keel looked incredibly vulnerable to grounding.

Neales article did not mention anything about the different bottom strenghthening methods. ie the danger/benefit of bonded or glued Grid mouldings to strengthen the keel and bottom. I have my doubts about how Beneteau use it.

Nige, I have looked at the list - hence my comment that the Vega wasn't on it. I would have thought that was obvious from my post, and am also confused as to why your response is headed 'Don't Like Island Packets'.

Anyway, if anyone has an IP they really don't like, I will be happy to take it off their hands. They've always been my dream bluewater boat.
