I've had avon dinghys for years , redstart redcrest etc as my Dad did before me, I have decided to have a upgrade to a solid transom one ie the 250 airfloor or the 260 air floor , the 260 has a keel which must make for better stability and directional handling but is there any other things to consider between the two. The 250 is a bit cheaper. Do they pack the same size , is there any wieght difference. What one would you go for . I row a lot so the open rollocks are a must for me and there don't appear to be any others available. I had a zodiac once which was pretty good but the rollocks were useless , infact I seem to remember breaking several. Air floors seem to be the dogs b.......ks. as they make for a very stable base.

Air floors are the best and having an inflatable keel definitely makes a difference but it all adds weight and makes the rolled up package larger. Horses for courses and all that.
