Automatically advances to blank page https://forums-secure.ybw.com/...

I've had this problem endlessly since the 'upgrade' a couple of months back. It works OK on an iphone (when posting from Denmark!) but I get the blank page all the time when using a laptop in the UK (Chrome Windows 7). Just tried Nigel's link to the control panel login though and that has worked OK this morning.

would it help someone sort something out if we could find a common denominator.. a poll of operating systems windows 7, 8 / mac/ I pad. Browsers, country, or something like that? The sooner this gets sorted the better!!!

We never had these problems at all before some silly person at IPC Towers decided to change the server?

Still no access if using my iPad II or when using my Samsung Galaxy III and access via this laptop is exactly as described above and above and above.

I wonder if any of the IPC incumbents will dare come up and explain exactly why they did it and how they intend to rectify their stupidity?

.

Er...yes it's annoying. No it never did it on the old platform. But your comments are a little harsh...let's not forget its a FREE yes FREE service and many users will have not contributed one pound to IPC.

If you had any idea whatsoever about IT you would also realise that sometimes upgrades have to happen, all it takes is one vendor/service provider saying "sorry IPC, but your server/OS is about to go unsupported, you will have to upgrade, and if you don't , and it falls over, you are are on your own chaps..."

So yes, IPC, do please fix it if you can, and in the meantime can the users perhaps not bite the hand that feeds us?

It appears that I was premature in saying that this problem could be solved in the way I said. When I logged on this morning I was still getting the 'white screen of death, however I seem to have found a way to overcome this:-
Log on, get white screen
use the back screen arrows, navigate back past the 'thanks for logging on page to the start page
I now find that the forum is there and working and I am still logged on, hence being able to reply to this post!
Hope this helps, I have tried this method on my Transformer and Galaxy S3 and it seems to be working for me;)

I too had been suffering for a couple of days, not irritated but amused.
I fixed it, at least for the moment, by going in to ybw.com, logging in to the Forum, and then overwriting that in my Favourites.
I've checked several times now, and no WSOD.
Tomorrow, of course, may be different.

Been getting this myself for the past few days now. It happens when I click on the links from emails telling me there has been a forum response and on my own bookmarks which have been working perfectly for years now.

I'm on a Mac OSX Lion and I'm running Firefox 19.0.2

Still happening for me, but I found a way round it: The link is on my Bookmarks toolbar (Chrome). If I try three times in quick succession, it logs in normally the third time, every time. Both the PC and the Laptop. Both running Win 7 Home, and Google Chrome.

Using XP and IE8, I have the forum index pages I use in my favorites. First try on any of them, I get the destination screen up for a couple of seconds, then the white screen. If I click it again, or use the refresh button, the page comes up OK and we continue normally.

I just started seeing this issue this weekend. Clicking the back arrow twice seems to stop it for me so not a big issue but it will still be nice when the the fix is in.

Have you all tried:

- Settings
- Under My Account, General Settings
- Date and Time Options
- DST Correction Option, set "DST Corrections always on"

Does anyone else have this problem?

I click the button to go to this forum. The forum appears, then the browser automatically advances to a blank page with the URL https://forums-secure.ybw.com/forums/profile.php?do=dst . I then need to do two cycles of clicking the backup button and then clicking the button for the forum again before the browser will stay on the forum page. This happens with both Internet Explorer and Chrome.

This has just started today 2 April - Vostro laptop running explorer 9 windows 7 64 bit
