Good day sailors
Hope all healthy ;)
I need some help with old Autohelm 800 analogue. Opened it and find out that two wires disconnected. Where they should be have no idea. Searched all over internet found electrical scheme and wiring diagram but only from AutoHelm 1000 analogue.
Here some pictures. Maybe someone can pointed out where they should be connected.
Motor working well.

I can only see the black wire loose. All the other wires pass through lead holes then double back onto their connection points.

Can you examine all the soldered points very closely to see if any have broken copper strands protruding.

Where is the other loose wire - your pcitures don't show this. I will PM you my email address if you wish to send me some more close ups.

Hello
Examined 3 times and cant find any broken strands anywhere.
Second wire is green one. i try connected it to nr. 1. Then motor is working but with full power and start smoking after couple seconds. If connect green to point nr. 2 nothing is working.
If found this wire scheme but looks like its for 1000 analog. With only 3 wires and with plug.
Something like that

Thank You

I have both 800 and 1000 .... as far as I see - they are same ... just one has faster transit and more kg thrust ...

I'll take the 800 apart (hate doing it as I always have trouble getting that red gasket back in place) !! ... so if you can hang on a bit ...

Yep Compass dial on top. Then its just a older one.
Thanks for help. Appreciate that You had time to opened Your one.
Im still try to find this older version wire diagramm.

Nope. In Toila. Wooden one. Laurin Kryssare 32
Still struggling with Autohelm. Looks like easiest way to buy SIMRAD or RAYMARINE.

Pity with Lockdown ... my pal is good with this sort of gear ... he fixed my AH1000 other day ... and fitted new remote plug / sockets to my AH800 and AH1000 ...

If I was buying - I would go for the ST1000+ ...... I know there are more modern etc. - but its a good reliable unit.
