Bit of a shame boats cannot go in on the Friday, an opportunity would certainly have been of interest to boats who moor elsewhere than on the non tidal Thames.
West India might be only a couple of hours away from Teddington and a single day in West India , may be enough to make it worthwhile.
However when takes a days travel to get there and a day to get back, plus add the fuel costs of 12-14 hours under way, a single full day to enjoy being at rest, is perhaps not quite so appealing.
From memory boats from the tidal part of the river made up the majority of boats attending the last rally in WID Dock.
Never the less, well done all those involved, for taking the time and trouble to get this off the ground.
Well Done.:)
Hopefully boats from RCC will be turning up to enjoy the event .................as soon as OG gets the word out to club members.

Might only be a couple of hours from Teddington but its got to be much easier to attend for you guys, its 3 days away and 3 days back for us!
We would like to do it as I've not been in West India dock before, but not really worth it just for a dinner.

Did make some enquiries a while ago with TMYC regards WID providing a lock in on the Friday, appreciating that the cost of an extra night mooring would apply.
Was some speculative discussion that one of the two ? proposed Saturday lock ins could be moved to enable a single lock in on Friday and another on Saturday.
This would of course have given two full days to enjoy the delights of West India and the stuff around it.

(y)
would have thought a single lock would get all visitors in one go
