Bolx steve. Who the hell is "Steve Cronin"? Probly a million of those in the phonebook. Put your name address and phone# on the forum or in your (empty) profile before accusing others of using anonymity, let alone being gutless for it

Where are they now ? I remember when Steve Cronin quit this forum for good and Nigel Che was admiited to the Betty Ford clinic in Reading and Kurt von Thadden would have given Kim Kittens. Ah Nostalgia.. it's not what it used to be !

AHHEM...Mr Cronin...

... I sincerely hope that you are not referring to me here!! You know who I am and where I am usually found lurking!!

I would remind you that whilst being a tied agent for a well known forum that I am sure you have dealings with, I am also able to offer totally independent sailing advice. I have to inform you that there are other forums that are also able to offer similar advice, and none of them charge for their services.

If you have a complaint about the advice I have supplied to you with regard to sailing or any other topic discussed on this or any other forum, I suggest that we settle the matter over several pints on the boat stand at the London International Guinness Show in January!!

BTW

Endymion is my formal screen name from the office, Endy is the informal name from home...don't ask me why, just for some reason I was not able to use Endymion from home!! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Re Money Laundering....

..I could taqlk on this one for hours.

Essentially most of the UK's finacial institutions can't agree a set of standard requirements. Some want things that some folk just don't possess. Some will take your library card almost and some sensible ones actually stick to the "Joint Money Laundering Steering Group"'s guidelines which are the ones that the Financial Services Authority will adopt within the near future.

So if you're thinking of doing a bit of dodgy trading then now's the time to do it before they get their act together.

Now revealing the above information is technically a criminal offence so do you think Mr Hollomby might ban me?

Yeikes!!!!

*lol*....some good posts here and must admit that its nice to see old hands waffling on about not much. Must admit its a little farcical to complain about anonimity and then leave your profile without any info.

However, I for one was most disturbed to have abuse heaped upon me from steve101 which included reference to specific items in my profile. My immediate reaction was to delete the profile. So there is obviously merit in both approaches.

Still, I miss Kurt von Thadden. The guy had class. He had the ability to irritate with unerring accuracy coupled with skill. I wonder where he went. Perhaps he had a lobotomy and came back as steve101..............

Re: Your Mum & Dad

Dear Maxwell

I've been dying to use it for weeks! When I saw this thread I couldn't believe my luck!

I always read Mr Twisters (there's another one - mister twister - d'ye ken it - good lord I can't stop) posts etc - very erudite I must say - keep it up Ken.

Maybe your Mum's maiden name was Twister and your Dads surname is Ken.

How vulgar...

...discussing money when talking about something as important as Guinness /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif!!

I am sure that I could stand an impoverished IFA a pint or two /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
