Attention Webmaster, Dishonest and Unacceptable Policy Here

Worse, and shamefully, Webmaster, your poxy system doesn't seem to record the fact that I've told you I don't want to be a part of your nasty, intrusive system as I keep telling you but you still insist on harrassing me three times weekly demanding I repeat my preferences on whether I want to be further harrassed by your same old bloody questions or I can't access the website.

I don't see any of this stuff. Do you log out? I don't.

How do you suppose the site is funded, no funds, no site

Jonathan

The site isn't for the good of the people. It's a commercial site promoting their own interests. That's how it's funded.

Now take a computer site like OCUK, no ads at all (other than desecrate ones promoting their own products), no popups no intrusion. The owners of this site have clearly made a commercial decision to do what they do.

I understand that website owners seem to need to infest our devices with their pernicious cookies but this site is one of the worst offenders.

When the "agree to terms and conditions" page pops up there is just one button to press to agree to bending over and getting swamped by them all but the disruptive dissenter who doesn't want to be buried in cookies is faced with a stream of about a dozen individual buttons, each needing to be individually selected requiring a number of page scroll-downs to get rid of this plague.

Worse, and shamefully, Webmaster, your poxy system doesn't seem to record the fact that I've told you five dozen times I don't want to be a part of your nasty, intrusive system as I keep telling you but you still insist on harrassing me three times weekly demanding I repeat my preferences on whether I want to]acceot yoyr bloody cookies or else I can't access the website. If I've said I don't want to be harassed by your bloody cookies then make that a matter of record, don' t keep asking me to rejustify it at full length 3 times a week.

Further, if you provide one button for "bend over and give me the lot" then it is an iniquitous bias not to provide one button to say "fuggoff" rather than forcing a client to individually select a dozen switches over a number of scrolled down pages, ad force him to repeat this every few days just because the negative answer doesn't suit your commercial purposes.

This policy is morally corrupt.

Disgraceful.

It needs to be stopped.

Rubbish, you can reject the lot with one click. I log out as I travel a lot, when the page pops up you should have all the switches as off by default. Do not click the top accept button, scroll down and click the button at the bottom which saves the preferences, until you log out again.

This site is operated by a commercial organisation with commercial interests. It is not a valuntary association and we therefore, when using the site, have to accept certain inconveniences. I have been using this forum since the late 90,s and have seen many changes but overall it has been excellent site in every way. Of course there are a few individuals who like to complain just for the sake of it.

Why does traveling require logging out?

I don't experience those problems.

+1 . Its not the Adverts I object to, (you cant stop these) its the tracking cookies - that's all this stuff stops. Why should I have to reject tracking cookies every 24 hours? Have you seen the number of organisations they send your data to? Its designed to be deliberately invasive in order to make you eventually give in, and its just cynical.
And no, I don't log out. If you are not seeing anything, chances are you agreed to it all.

Why not simply set your browser to reject cookies?

By the way, you can stop the ads simply using an adblocker - try uBlock.

This bunch on here are no problem. Just use a cookie & adblocker.
What concerns me is the cookies attached to financial websites
I have until recently been using FairFX to exchange my £££ into Euros but then noticed the number of trackers, even on there intro page, has gone up to 12. As you proceed with any transaction the number of attached trackers to different pages go up & down with often as many as 15.
A bit concerning to learn that there are trackers watching your financial movements ? I have emailed them to inquire why these trackers are attached to what should be a secure financial website, but they do not reply. I have now asked there CEO why they use theses cookies pointing out that many of his customers will no doubt be alarmed tp learn there financial movements are being tracked. I await his reply. No doubt other financial orgs & institutions use cookies. Does yours? Are your financial movements being tracked ?
