Attempt by our Committee to change the Club rules without notifying the members

Re: imposters on this thread

The more I read of this, the more convinced I am that NickC is not actually interested in seeking a resolution to his problems: rather he seeks sympathy from those outsiders who've never met him without actually or are in any position to help in actually finding a solution. Indeed, NickC has never laid out what his end game is.
Finally, there's the fact that in all of this sorry saga to date there's been no input from any member of the club concerned as to the veracity of NickC's complaints. Is this because they're maintaining a dignified silence or is it because there's no real case to answer?

I 'd think because they are fully aware that one word in NickC's favour in public will result in the same fate.

Re: imposters on this thread

Steve,

What's the view like from way up there on the high moral ground? It's a forum for Christ's sake, get a life.

You're the one who keeps posting requests to stop the thread, then posts useless cr*p to carry it on. Frankly, I think this is where I came in. It's going round and round.
Here's a challenge for you and any other versions of Nick: stop replying to my posts, stop mentioning me in any posts and I'll stop posting on this thread. As I offered before. Can't do it can you?

Let the thread fall off the front page of the forum. Can't do that either.

Same challenge, for the third time. You'll never know if it's genuine if you never take it up.

Re: imposters on this thread

Done some work - Hello Nick. You've let yourself down again. Post 393. Not only do you ask us all to stop, you've actually written it properly in understandable English. This goes against all the illiterate rantings you've done on brokerage in several other places. The brokerage threads where you moan about being harshly treated, reject opinion and advice, and end up being insulted. Not only that, looking at the amount and timings of your posts I'd say you have far too much time on your hands.

Are you now saying that NickC is not only CaptainPugwash but is also Steveeasy!

I'm kicking myself for not spotting the close similarity between NickC's writing style and Steveeasy's. :encouragement:

4th time, better version.

Re: imposters on this thread

to date there's been no input from any member of the club concerned as to the veracity of NickC's complaints.

If you were a member of said club and you had seen that you could be thrown out without reason, without deference to the rules and without a vote by the members, would you risk posting on here?

It's not that difficult to post anonymously ... and no, I'm not anyone else on here, I'm me and only me ...

Mike replying to Floyd's post:
Oh, and while I think of it: It is: "defamation of character", not "deformation" - although I do appreciate the implication!

Oh dear what a terribly inconvenient spelling mistake... we've seen that same error before, in a previous email from a member of the Consortium of Committee members.

Still sure you're not one of them Floyd?

Re: imposters on this thread

Floyd Raser said:
No, because you deserve to be chucked out by any means possible.

NickC said:
Edmund Burke: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing." (or something vaguely like that)
Using that quote just shows how spectacularly out of proportion you've taken this.

Colvic, still think my quote was out of proportion?

Post 512 above. Can't help it can you? I'm flattered you still want me around.

The Commodore has got a fireball... you sure you not him. Only joking you've been on here since long before all this lot started.

Would your risk it if you had been threatened that your emails were being tracked and your Internet browsing was being logged?

One of the consortium is a retired police officer, now working in anti-terrorism. Rumours have been spread in the locality that he can use his position to get his mates on the force to monitor their emails and internet traffic. Unbelievable yes, but seriously that came from one of the members. They think that as soon as they use their email address to sign-up to the forum they will have the thugs knocking on their door.

And there is only one Internet Cafe in the village.

Yes there are those who don't live in the area but having seen how CaptP has been attacked here would you really risk it.
