This is getting surreal.
Now you have probably gathered I am not in favour of of deleting history or of banning rational debate. However I think it might be time to ask the admins to block brother Floyd from posting on this thread, if only for his own psychological well-being.

I thought you were in the business of web design/programming & hosting?
If so, you'd know how easy it would be to get a data sim (cash), put it in a second hand phone or mifi, turn on the hotspot and use a fresh install of linux to post anonymously.
Ok - it is feasible that they could trace the IP back to a service provider and then the mast that it was connected too, they could even triangulate it - but TBH, if you're that paranoid then you'd use a anonymous proxy service as well ...
Several of us have made suggestions as to how you could proceed - basically, the only way you'll get back into the club will be to get a GM called - if you've got the backing of the general membership then you might get a chance to rejoin ... have you done anything about those suggestions?

One of the consortium is a retired police officer, now working in anti-terrorism. Rumours have been spread in the locality that he can use his position to get his mates on the force to monitor their emails and internet traffic. Unbelievable yes, but seriously that came from one of the members. They think that as soon as they use their email address to sign-up to the forum they will have the thugs knocking on their door.
And there is only one Internet Cafe in the village.
Yes there are those who don't live in the area but having seen how CaptP has been attacked here would you really risk it.

That would be a bit like throwing him out of a sailing club just because he acted like a pratt & made insults, false claims, etc against said club

I can only speak for myself but I try to take things at face value, and was horrified by NickC's situation from his first post, before all the circus came to town.
The apparent fact that the club has never stood up and explained - but it seems some people have tried dubious pretences to attack him - tends to strengthen these feelings.

Oh come on now - that's harsh- at least shoving a candle up your pot is a little less confrontational & does give one just more thing to do with a candle ( in the world of " things to do with candles")- other than give it to Nick C - along with a little push !!!!

Easy, because the mentality of this thread is that if you're not here, you're accused of all sorts of things so I'm hanging around to defend my corner and highlight the brainlessness of certain posters. People are so wise that a lack of posting is interpreted to mean whatever the author has in his tiny mind. I have stopped but you asked a question. As I have said before, this thread is actually a very interesting study in psychology and for that alone, I shall keep reading.
I'm afraid though Richard, you are also one of those taking the moral high ground on false pretences: You are obviously trying to taunt me into posting to claim some kind of triumph but, you are also one who refuses to take up the challenge of not involving me anymore.
If I had any kind of ego at all I would be flattered how I seem to be dominant in this thread. Again, as I have said before, I invite constructive critisism of my earlier posts and get nothing. I offer to go away and get all the attention.
Read the amount of posts taunting me back here after my first invitation. As long as I am here, the thread stays on the front page of the forum and Nick gets the attention so desperately needs in his tiny life. That is why I will not be allowed to go away.

I have no idea who Nick is, what the Club is. Or what the heck this is about - but I think any real content / purpose was lost ages ago.
None of these bizarre posts is helping anybody - other than for the amusement of the rubberneckers (which I guess now includes me)
I hope Nick whoever realises that if he wants to resolve whatever he needs to speak to some real people in the real world - not on here
Otherwise can somebody please post some real club names, real people etc - which might get the whole sad thing pulled and bring the curtain down
