...a boat valeting company with reasonable pricing!
Just signed up for a fortnightly wash with a 12 month contract for....wait for it...£2 a meter. £2 a meter!!! My boat's 11 meters so you do the maths.
Just been down to inspect her and I'm dead chuffed because it's not only going to be keeping the airborne, day to day grime build up at bay,
it's gonna save me so much time. Given that boating time is precious...this is a no brainer for me and affordable.
Basically, I was asked by a fellow boater if I would be interested in using his valeting services so I said ok...why not. It's a new company covering the Southampton and Portsmouth areas so if you're berthed around there, you might like to take a look if your time is precious like ours.
Don't know if I'm breaking any rules posting a link to his website but his prices are so competitive it seems only right to share my find.

Be patient with the website. It's very much a work in progress and not the best to navigate at the moment but if you click on the home button, it'll slowly scroll through what's on offer. Just click on what interests you.

I just wanted to say thank you to Lisa and Roy for their kind words.

Exciting times ahead and looking forward to meeting even more forumites as I am out and about.

More than happy to answer any questions, contact details are on the website (which, as Lisa said, is work in progress :)).

This looks excellent and I wish Paul well. The competitive pricing is based on a long term contract, which seems a fair trade off/package deal to me. From the blue Angel HT thread it is clear that he knows his onions when if comes to fibreglass generally. I hope the Mediterranean branch opens soon!

Actually it's £572 pa and I can tell you it would cost me a helluva lot more in fuel to travel to her each fortnight to clean her so I think it's more accurate to say....money well spent especially as it means more time boating and less time cleaning. Anyway...I'm a very happy bunny.

I think Lisalou has got it spot on.
For me going down to the boat gets me away from work and is a place to relax and unwind.
What I don't want to do is spend the odd time of late when I manage to get there playing molly maid.
I already pay considerably more per annum than is being quoted for a less frequent service.
If Simplicity Marine are considering an Essex branch I would be delighted to be a customer.

Come to the SoF! We need you here ... :D Good luck with the new venture.

do you not wash the boat off every time you go out on the water ,but i also think it is good to have it kept clean

Cheers John, your kind words are much appreciated.

Good luck with the venture Paul.

We had a twice monthly wash and shampoo when we were in Torquay and even after she had been in Spain for 3 months she was still gleaming and I sure this was due to the regular washes - he used Autoglym products.

For us, knowing we could leave her untouched after an outing was a big plus point - and worth quite a bit more than £2 per metre...

If you can pop to Sant Carles after the SoF that may help with the travelling costs :-D :-D

Hope all goes well Paul , ( I`m sure it will ) . Are you considering covering Lymington as I have just been quoted nearly double that .
