In your memory, is there any ONE -probably dull- subject where all SBers agreed or had the same opinion ?

I seem to remember an Ohm s law being interpreted as an arcane buddhistic meditation litany but I may be wrong

?

It was'nt funny. I've got a Beneteau and was very cross at being a buttee. Why did'nt they use Bavaria instead?

Re: Why Beneteau?

ok, that's one

which other among the 123684 threads ?

Oddily, I have the impression that people agree more on subjective, emotional or personal subjects than on technical ones, where one correct answer is usually more likely to be found ?

now what should I do when I cross a TSS ? -.<)

As I recall everyone agrees that YM/PBO (the printed version) is just a pale shadow of what it was 5/10/20 years ago /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Being mainly a reader to reader man from PBO can I suggest that an agreement to blackball Mighetto(the Mac 26x man) might receive a substantial consensus.Sorry to trespass on foreign territory ,but I usually enjoy reading the exchanges on Scuttlebutt, long may they continue.

Re: german/french

Having lived in Germany when I was young I have always been told to be extremely nice to the French although it's is impossible to understand what they are saying.
Now I live in Sweden and have gotten into reading all these Naval Fiction novels where the Hornblowers and Ramages hate the French (unless they are aristocrats, but they are all dead now aren't they?).

So what am I to think now?

Aha; welcome to the glory that is English history. At one time or another, we have picked fights with nearly everyone, so that won't help you much.

On the subject of loving your fellow man, I think the last word is best left to Tom Lehrer:

Oh, the white folks hate the black folks
And the black folks hate the white folks
To hate all but the right folks
Is an old established rule

But during National Brotherhood Week
National Brotherhood Week
Lena Horne and Sheriff Clark
Are dancing cheek to cheek
It's fun to eulogize
The people you despise
As long as you don't let 'em in your school

Oh, the poor folks hate the rich folks
And the rich folks hate the poor folks
All of my folks hate all of your folks
It's American as apple pie

But during National Brotherhood Week
National Brotherhood Week
New Yorkers love the Puerto Ricans
'Cause it's very chic
Step up and shake the hand
Of someone you can't stand
You can tolerate him if you try

Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics
And the Catholics hate the Protestants
And the Hindus hate the Moslems
And everybody hates the Jews

But during National Brotherhood Week
National Brotherhood Week
It's National Everyone-Smile-At-
One-Another-hood Week
Be nice to people who
Are inferior to you
It's only for a week, so have no fear
Be grateful that it doesn't last all year!

(btw, I should add that Lehrer was Jewish himself, before anyone complains about the final verse)

Re: Spot on!

Don't we already agree that it was much better before the great closure of '01?
