Arpeggio replacement - Maxi 1050?

We're now on the hunt for a replacement for Arpeggio - off to see a Maxi 1050 this afternoon.

Any personal experiences of sailing/owning one? Views on performance or other characteristics? Anything to watch for?

You might as well add exactly what qualities you're looking for, so that everybody can instead suggest boats that are totally inappropriate, at least ten feet too big / small, and that were only ever produced in homeopathic quantities.

I think that's the tradition, anyway?

Thanks - I'm not after suggestions for alternatives, but opinions on this particular boat.

For context/comparison, Arpeggio is/was a 1989 Sweden 36:

• Masthead rig
• 11m length
• 2.04m draught
• Great performance upwind
• Spacious down below - double cabin in forepeak and double in stern
• 200 litres fuel
• 400 litres water
