Alex is running out of wind.. I think the gap will narrow.

What is interesting is the quantity of damage/retirements caused by collisions with debris rather than technical failure or weather.. Alex on Hugo Boss, Morgan on Safran and Vincent on PRB. That doesn't really bode well for our oceans or global sailing in general as the chances of having a collision with debris seems statistically significant... and they are only 20 days into the race.

I've just seen the weblive update on the Vendee site and Alex is back into a narrow lead - must be gybing to try and stay between Armel and the next mark(!). Amazing how well he is doing and let's hope the broken foil will not slow him too much - he sounds pretty relaxed in this video from yesterday https://www.facebook.com/AlexThomsonRacing/?fref=nf
