Does anyone have knowledge of any visitor moorings in Christchurch River suitable for a 14m motor boat? Are there mooring buoys or pontoons anywhere?

you will need to take aboard a pilot at the entrance to get your 14 metres up there Andy![]()
I know I know it was a typo...meant to say about 1.4m draught!
You'll need a dredger to get that up there...
Upper end of a spring tide, you'll be fine.
Otherwise, you will be the dredger.
Maybe they should do something about dredging, would give us another 'destination'.
When I first moved house to Lymington and was investigating local mooring options I talked to a couple of people who were in Christchurch/Mudeford. I got the impression that there was a bit of debate between those that want dredging and a marina versus those that have shallow draft boats and are content with the double high water to meet their needs. Seemed to me that the "stay as we are" camp were on top, bit like the debate about building a bridge or a tunnel to the Isle of Wight!
