Hi - has anyone got an Aqua Star (Guernsey produced). Any issues/comments? I am looking at the top end of the range & new. Thanks

Great boats with exceptional seakeeping qualities, built by an honest Company run by a MD who cares about the boats he produces and his customers.

Made in the Channel Islands and a British product so right on hand for any warranty work.

Explorer 72 made in the Far East for an American Company so a potencial problem brewing when problems rear their heads. (And they will)

Go and see the Aqua Star factory and then you will be convinced.

What's limit on the size of boat you can skipper yourself without going "commercial"? I thought it was 23 metres, not that I can see Mr Plod rushing round with a 23 metre tape measure to check. Apologies if you have commercial skipper ticket already.

Seriously hope it goes well for you this time...

Its very difficult to determine a sensible answer when the profile is not filled in to the minimum.

I assume you are looking at the 74.

I have just bought a 6yr old Aquastar 48S I am pleased with it.

It is well built and a good spec although it has a lot of gear I do not need , gangway, Aircon, satellite tv and aleather sofa etc.

It is starting to show its age with fading on the blue as it was in Portugal.

What I know of the larger ones is that they are well built and substantial.
