Would not do anything with your props ... just yet ... if you do not give out a fair bit of black smoke, you're probably not over propped ..

1) Your fuel pump could be de-rated by manufacturer / installer
2) Mechanical block on the leaver arm, or governor controller

Probably other probabilities as well. Keep it simple first, before going for an expensive option, which may not be the cause..

Get the fuel pump ID/Serial # & combine that with the engine serial #, then have a chat with Cummins ... that will be FOC... and may give you some indication on what you should have... with your setup (not what the std spec sheet states on a website)

Alf, thanks. I will probably make a few enquiries and maybe poke around a bit more. But, to be honest, the boat is going so well that I will probably end up leaving things alone. I knew she was never going to be a flyer when I bought her.
