Most of stuff covered here already but for what its worth if thats you bag then you won't go far wrong, get a good one with the right motors and your quids in. There are few around with underpowered engines and they don't do the hull any favours, not enough grunt to get it moving at a decent speed and over engined for just pootling around. Everything is well engineered and screwed together but a few older ones have been mucked about with so proper survey all important.

You won't find anything new fangled just honest solid boats, they do roll like the jiggers though and not as good down the weather as some planing hulls but good all round package.

Website, well if you met Geoff you'd know why, quiet gentleman and spends his time building his boats and not that worried about the flash end of the business (unlike this flash wally /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) he'll build / customise just about anything you want just don't expect everything to go at break neck speed.

33's and 38 aft cabins pretty well much immune to ups and downs of the market good ones always sell and get good prices.

Problem is though you'll have to buy a captain's peak hat and fly a blue ensign and your col regs and flag etiquette will have to be spot on, doesn't hurt to be the commodore of the local club either, it'll have to be a small club though as if it was one of the jolly hockey sticks brigade you'd have a Nelson instead /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Excellent sea boat, tough as old boots, will last forever, but do not expect to be travelling quickly, about 18 knots will be your lot, but nothing will slow you down.

I believe there is an Aqua Star 33 for sale at Dickies at Brighton Marina. We pass it each time we go to our boat and often comment that if we were ready for something smaller then this would be perfect. - It looks like a "proper" boat!

The people who buy this sort of boat are perhaps not very interested in any website which devotes 6 pages giving details as to the range of colours/fabrics available for the interior cushions,but rather more intersted if the primery fuel filters can be changed while under way or making sure the cleats will not be ripped out when coming alongside some commercial dock in heavy weather.

It should also be mentioned that if you express an interest - which can be done via the website - you get a good deal of useful information which is backed up by an invitation to come and see the boats being built and talk to Aqua-Star about what you want.

hi guys, Geoff from aqua-star is a star in our eyes - we are in line for a aqua-star 60 she looks wonderful and on our sea trial the boat was extremely impressive. We have tickets to the boat show and Aqua-star will be there - why don't you all join us?

Don't get me wrong, I think they are great boats made by a good samll company. My only question was, if you are going to bother with a web presence, you might as well do it properly.

Perhaps no web presence would be better?
