We're heading down to our place in Marbella for the first time at the end of August (25th) for a week. If there's any forumites based down there i'd love to meet for a beer/chat about the area

No not Marbella but will be in Puerto Duquesa (about 30 miles further west) from the 31st for 10 days. Hopefully get a ride in Clive's jet boat....

He was playing with her on Saturday afternoon around the entrance making tons of wash....just while I was fendering up! Stayed the night at duquesa and had a great time as always.
Not near Marbella but will be in Gibraltar all summer....plus duquesa, smir, estepona etc on various evenings.

hiya paul. I'll be moored in marina bay playing fiddle in thrifty malone's irish band gib early sept, hacking around in casemates if we don't have any gigs, planning to be there 3rd to after 10th national day

I don't even know the area well at all, i'm still laerning by Google! I'll be staying close to El Pariso Golf Club (Little west of Puerto Banus). Have a nice bit of stuff lined up such as quad biking and i'm going to walk the El Camino del Rey

Alt, you are a bit further away but same offer to you. By the way El Camino del Rey is scary!

I have lived in Marbella for nearly 7 years so have seen good and bad.
I am away at the moment skippering a new Sqdn 78.
Should be home in August all being well and we dont have any change of plans.

Nice to meet you in Antibes the other day, hope you are having a pleasant trip to Gib, we came across to Mahon and it was like glass. Glad I am not doing it tomorrow as the forecast is not nice...
