Good morning all,

There is a Sunseeker San Remo 33 named "Sun Burn" on the Rriver Frome, just wondering if anyone has any information on this boat? anyone know previous owners, etc?

Thanks.

Quick bump on this thread to see if anyone has any information? I have had 1 private message which was very useful regarding older life of boat. I am not having any luck with Mooring companies or local boat yards where it was sold due to GDPR. Trying to find out who the previous owners are to see if they know about the current owner.

It has been left for about two years, hasnt moved given the condition of the outside and I am interested in buying it.
That is key information.

You’re quite correct in that no marina / moorings association is going to give out personal details to an unknown third party. However it is in their interest given the above to do so in reverse; Give your name and contact details to the Harbour master / moorings associations and ask to forward your details on to the boat owner for them to contact you if they are keen to sell.

Already provided them my details, but always helps to see if anyone else knows the person in case of other sitations where they may not be responding, such as re-location, illness, death etc. It could in process of probate, but no one would know.

Assuming it is probate sadly then someone will have been paying the mooring fees as executor unless I guess no will and no known beneficiaries of deceased . Perhaps it’s bona vacantia ?

I know probate can be a long drawn out process, and yes an excecutor "Should" be paying, unless the deceased stopped paying the fees prior to death. Any situation could be a long drawn out process and unfortunately boats beign left like this soon deteriate and become almost worthless.

Ship Station Description

Long shot it’s the right boat but gives a surname. The other “sunburn” is in Turkey and there’s a “Sun Burn” in Ireland
Thanks for this. I did try this site and found the Ireland one, and also tried the one word variant here but nothing returned. This is actually on of the previous owners before the last one. Good find though

Had you thought of writing a letter and expressing interest in buying or putting a letter on the boat even(but I guess no one visiting if passed away)
Dropped a note off last week. Will give it a few weeks and will go back to see if it is still there and also see if anyone is in the neighbouring boats who may know something
