There must be someone out there who might be able set me right on my question in previous post, "Furuno to Cobra take 2?
i have now switched on all nav lights in the hope someone might see me, and am shining my search light on the main sail.

I connected my GP32 to my NASA VHF. I recall I had to ask Furuno something or another about wire colours. Cable was supplied with the GP32. I'll look up my notes and get back to you.

not much help really
My VHF has a data cable calling for
brown and red to be connected to GPS

Brown = NMEA output positive = white on Furuno GPS
Red = NMEA negative = blue on GPS

I guess it depends now what cabling your Cobra has for NMEQ connection.

Thanks Martin.
The furuno manual is showing a blue and white, if you say the white is connected to the vhf brown then it must be the positive cable, I will check the cobra manual and see what it says.
Thanks, C_W.
