We placed our order through one of the guys staffing the Raymarine stand at LBS and were required to pay with order. Discovered today he has gone bust and I have potentially lost £3K.
Waiting to see if Raymarine will accept any moral responsibility (if not legal) for employing a contractor on the stand who must have been several thousands of pounds overdue on what he owed them, let alone anyone else.
Contractor is Waypoint-1 Ltd - now in receivership
Do the decent thing Raymarine (UK) , PLEASE!
[edited to add: To save new readers scrolling right through to end of the thread, RM have offered a substantial discount on replacement kit and explained that the compnay was in good financial standing with them and had been for many years so they had no idea this was going to happen. Seems reasonable!]
