....to leaving a dory so it was drifting around on the beach at the Shrape, IOW at the end of the Cowes week fireworks.
I hear the state of it could have indicated an MOB causing coastie to instigate a search involving 2-3 lifeboats, 2 shore crews and the helecopter.
Dory owners kindly returned to the beach at 2am allowing the serach crews to get at least some sleep!!!!!
All on a day when coastie had to launch lifeboats on 22 ocasions - see
