My son lives near Tenby. A few years ago some Americans beached their car when following a satnav to Caldey Island.

There is the true story of a lady having a dirty weekend in a rented cottage in West mMersea. She was following her GPS into Colchester and mistakenly drove into one of the caravan sites and onto the sea wall.

If the chap in the Amazon van had decided to reverse back, following his tracks, things might have been OK. Attempting a three point turn was not a wise move. I'm bloody good at hindsight.

Still. He's learnt a lesson and hopefully will carry on sailing.
Fortunately, most of my early cock ups were not witnessed . I still make them now but less so. As charles Stock used to say, less, but when they happen they are more intricate.
