Hi

At Puerto Calero on Lanzarote since the beginning of August but alas flying back to the UK on Friday for a few weeks. Hiring a car in our first week was a really good plan. Wineries amongst volcanoes and Jameos del Agua restaurant and concert were our tourist highlights.

My God, Greta wouldn't be happy with you flying back.

Well we are in marina lanzarote and have a hire car for the next few days so may see about saying hola.

Please do if you drive down south! We are about most of the weekend.

Met up with Mr. and Mrs. Rupert (hiya hope your trip is going welll, scorchio!) a few weeks ago, great to say hello to forum users.
:encouragement:

In any case, we know Lanza pretty well from a yachties point of view..... and Puerto Mogan. Gissa shout if you got questions.

Have you booked into Mogan? Its really full at the moment, was there a couple of weeks ago. Nice spot, have stayed on our yacht and more recently worked a weeks course for a sailing school there. So fairly up to speed.

Nice few days out (Julia flew back on Sunday). We liked the lunch stop in Papagaya so much we stayed the night and next day before a charter boat bouy (their suggestion) off Lobos and back to Papagaya again. Great to do some short local sails after all the mile eaters from Menorca.

Tops! I like the Papagayo area tooo, that where we have a mooring for the Charter Cat. Lots of undressed Germans on the beach though! :)

Got to Marina Lanzarote two days ago. Will be here a couple of weeks.

Hiya. Live (mostly) on our boat in Rubicon.

Now I know where to come for beer when I head down there. Doesn't seem that long ago I was doing a comp crew course with you in gib ;)

Hiya. from what Ive seen over the last few years, people pit stop often in Lanza first because its nearest. Lots only stop briefly. All the ARC boats are generally filling up Gran Canaria by your timeline. That makes for some berths in Lanza available which is busy now.

Fuertaventura has very few berths all year except Gran Tarajal, usually. You should be OK there.

Most Tenerife marinas quite ful all year and Gomera rammed at that time of year. Might find a spot in one of the La Palma marinas though.

Enjoy your trip!
