Any Suggestions Please ?

This is my first posting.Hello to everybody and a happy new year.
I am new to all things boaty and learning as I go along. My boat is a 29' long keel with 4'-3" draught. At the moment she is out of the water at Faversham but I am trying to find a mooring nearer to home, Canvey Island maybe. Any suggestions please?

Hello and welcome.

Smallgains Marina is an obvious place if you want to be on Canvey Island. clicky here Right on Canvey Point. There may also be some moorings through Island Yacht Club but I don't know what they have there even though I can see it from my house.

Failing those then a mooring in Benfleet Creek (run by Southend Council I think). Whatever you do don't even go to Leigh Marina.

I did think of IYC as it would be good to be with a club. The web site looks interesting but no mention of willingness to accept new members. Will give it a try though.
