I have just arranged a one day charter of a Lagoon 420 saily boat with two hulls on the greek island of Santorini.

Any advice on where to go on it? Know any secret bays or cool anchorages?

Dunno about secret bays... I guess it's pretty deep in the Caldera, but there are several mooring bouys.

Can highly recommend a visit to the Santos Winery. you can get the bus from the bus station at Fira.
They do a 'taster' tray of 12 or 20 different wines with bread, cheese and olives. A great way to spend the afternoon. The view is stunning as it's on the top of the cliff above the harbour.

Hey, hope I'm on the right board... I'm new here!

I'm quite new to sailing but I'm hoping to surprise my sailing obsessed BF with a yacht charter in the Mediterranean at the end of August for 2 or 3 weeks. I thought the Greek islands could be best as they have the most islands, I looked at some itineraries here for the Cyclades http://www.oceanindependence.com/lu...ns/eastern-mediterranean/greece-greek-islands and it seems doable.

Santorini would be the main reason to go because it looks INCREDIBLE - but has anyone here been sailing around Santorini as well as other Cyclades islands, and if so can I ask where they went and what they thought? Do you think it's the best charter destination in the eastern med? Thank you!!

Went there in a chartered yacht many years ago. You should go and anchor at Palea Kameni, a small island in the middle of the caldera. The water is hot and you can have a mud bath!

Just googled it. It looks like the kind of thing my girls would like. Thanks for the tip!
