any reviews on Canopius Marine insurance

we have changed our insurance last year and wondered if anyone had any dealings with Canopius Marine insurance

They're the firm just bought by centerbridge.

I can't see policies or anything on their website for yacht insurance. Do you have a link?

Hi we had this insurance here in the UK 2 years back .
My son had a boating accident and broke his finger.
They are great at taking your money but not a lot of use at anything else.
I paid the extra for accident cover what a waste of money that was.
All I can say is don't bother.
Never paid out and took a life time to reply to a call or email.

have spoken to insurance again today and the adjuster is coming down again to review my claim

my fault was that I didn't include several bits of damage that i had repaired myself or was going to get done myself without bothering the insurance, I thought keep it very fair and simple and only claim for the main item

just had the adjuster on the phone and he is coming down later this week with his boss to review the damaged teak.

it now looks like crap due to the time of year and wet getting under the edges of damage.
just hope they are going to be fair
they are saying because the teak is 15 years old they don't need to replace it so the damage is mostly at my cost

hope Canopius are going to be fair like the big 4

I can,t find any policy detail in the link - your post #7 , if that’s why you posted that ??

it all got a bit too much for me in the end so today I have agreed a cash settlement

hope i never have to claim again if so i will put everything down and not try and claim for the bare minimum trying to be fair
