Any one in Cagliari

Planning a trip, holiday/marina recce as we were thinking of spending the season in that area. Any one short of small items let me know. Travelling on 22 March. Is it warming up?

We were there last year and and are going back to Sardinia this year.

A group of us plan to pass through Cagliari in mid July, and following the Cruising Association comments hope to berth at Marina Sant Elmo. Would appreciate any comments on that, and recommendations for a cheerful accessible restaurant that can seat a party of 25 or so.

I remember there being an all you can eat type Chinese buffet about 10 minutes walk from the marina into town but there are loads of eating houses.
As you come into the inner harbour turn right and more or less follow the wall along. there are two marinas there. The posh one and the cheap one right next to each other.
The cheaper one is a bit ... different shall we say but friendly and you can negotiate a better price. The offices are in a tent come bar come book club.
Make sure they give you a free bottle opener before you go. The marina certainly does have character.
