weather?

In the Solent of course.

It is a bank holiday, so would we be better off staying at home in Gosport?? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

not just the Solent. I'm off to Wales sailing with son and grandchildren in the Milford Haven. Decorating the bathroom might be a smart choice unless the weather forecast improves /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Grib looks a bit bleak for Sunday and Monday, but in answer to Becky, no, there is NEVER a good reason for staying in Gosport!!!

Wondering the same thing Becky!

I have my ex-crew and chefs ashes here and we're hoping to take him to some of his favourite haunts in the Solent before casting him overboard

I am coming down from Newcastle to the blackwater over the weekend. The word "mixed" seems appropriate. The phrase "long way in less than ideal conditions" does too.

We are still 5 /6 days out from Sunday/Monday, wots the confidence at 5 days, about 40%? If the forecast was good, I would be more worried!
Saying that its bound to be crap, its called the "DougandAbiholiday effect" and its a little known adjunct to the Chaos theory.

Thanks Roger - I somehow doubt its going to be as much fun as the journey up was !. Doug, I think you have a point . . . . .desperately rushing upstairs to pack the spare sun cream, swimming trunks, shades, and oh yes, winning lottery ticket. "Always look on the bright side of life . . . . . . ."

I have to maintain a positive and credible position for SWMBO.
If it rains when we are down there, then too late! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
