Any decent VHF radio courses online?

Course changed from 1 day to over 2 days as the Germans complained their course took a week, but then the course has to be done in English and thankfully not the other way round. The ships Licence bit is so you will be issued with a MMSI number which is what you will need for your DSC radio.

I know most of that anyway dave, as no one can understand my accent on the phone, so its essential for dealing with indian call centres

I'm gonna differ from the others and encourage you to start using your radio. Practice is the thing. we are all amateurs here and our mistakes are accepted. The important bit is that in an emergency (yours or someone elses) you can communicate.
I got around to my licence when a course was provided in the local Community Centre in the winter. Mind, I live in a sea port, which ensures demand I suppose.
