Any alergy specialists out there

go and see your GP or nurse practitioner/District nurse to get it checked out, As you say the itchiness is lower legs and bilateral it could be allergy to clothing eg nice thick wool socks or most likely varicose ezcema especially if you spend long periods standing (helming or at work) if you suffer from varicose veins this is quite probable and especially if accompanied by any foot/ankle swelling especially at the end of the day. In the meantime use non bio washing wowder, avoid wollen socks and wash legs using Aquous cream ( available from all chemists for aprox £2.50 for a 500g tub as a soap substitute daily ie put it on wet skin wash as you would with soap/shower gel and rinse off well, don't leave it on the skin it is not a moisturizer if this does no good it will not do any harm, do not use E45 it contains lanolin which is a known allergen. If it is varicose excema in the long run you'll nedd to wear compression socks but you should have a proper leg assessment to determin the exact cause first so see a professional
