Anti foul dust inhalation problems

I

if it was a 3 ply surgical grade mask....they filter something like 97% bacteria which are a lot smaller than antifoul dust particles so would have offered you a fair bit of protection.

I wouldn’t be too worried....you just need checking out.

I once painted the tubes on a big rib. The flexible paint is mega strong stuff. No mask..nothing. Was doing the inside of the tubes in the bow section and thought I feel a touch faint. Next I knew....woke up and my roller was dry!

live and learn ?
Thank you.
the first day a didn’t have a mask I started sanding it because I thought the wind would carry the dust away from me. I didn’t know it was so toxic.
thanks for your help.

hi. I phoned 111. Advised to go to A&E
They did a chest X-ray it looked ok.
the doctor was concerned about my heart I had 2 ECG and a blood test to see if I had had a heart attack as dad and grandad died early from heart attacks. The doctor said he hopes my chest gets better in time. and see gp if it doesn’t.

Phew - hope the lungs clear soon.

Good news that nothing is jumping out.

do some chest physio. Breath in deeply...hold for 5 seconds at top of breath.....breath out gently and force the last bit at the bottom of breath. Might make you cough on the force expiration phase but it gets crap deep in the bronchial tree moving and perfuses tissues nicely.

do that 5 times in a row every couple of hours. Don’t make yourself too dizzy though....you don’t have to go mad ?

I think you’ll be fine. Blood and ECG checks handy too. Bloody good the NHS you know.
