12 hours in a plane with only Bollinger, Puligny Montrachet, the latest Hollywood blockbusters and a flat bed for company. Oh and some food, cabin staff, magazines & so on.

The sunshine made filming very difficult and at times when I tried to cool off the pool and sea were like bath water.

Foreign food - If I see another tiger prawn, lobster or Sea Bass I shall scream. There wasn't a decent pie to be had in the whole country!

The air conditioning made my lenses mist up every time I walked outside the room and no sooner had I set the camera up someone would wander up and ask if I wanted another drink. I get no pleasure at all from these trips away people :)

A little bit different, it does have boating content, see what you think ?

Exellent video Henry , and you clearly suffered in the making .
The splinters you must have had to pull out of your arse by going on that wooden boat purely in search of entertaining the troops doesn't bear thinking about  .

I knew you would understand the hardship Andy.

A really bizarre one the boat. Last Christmas the chap was staying at our Hotel. We got chatting, he mentioned a few snagging things he was trying to sort our, we ended up going out on the boat a couple of times during which we managed to work through the issues. Nothing major, a wandering auto pilot that sort of thing.

Fast forward to April and I see the boat anchored off the beach, thought I recognised it and sure enough the owner appears and says hello. A few drinks, a couple of meals and a trip out later it was as though we'd never been away. What were the chances of him being there again at the same time as us !

It gets even more strange, when we were out in Phang Nga bay there was a Princess almost like ours anchored up. Someone was trying to tell me something.......

Enjoyed your video. We were there over Christmas and watching that made me realise just how much we loved it and can't wait to go back
Lovely boat!

You must be VERY relieved to be back and able to take in the very many delights and sites of Gosport High Street again while visiting your boat. The challenge is to do a similar video highlighting the scenery in Gosport :) so the Thais want to visit!

Like many bucket list destinations Gosport needs no help from me in attracting visitors. Some for the gastronomy, others the scenery but everyone enjoys the fine weather, golden sands and recreational opportunities :)

Nice vid again, H, beautiful shots. I assume the 50 mm was responsible for some of the shots. I'll have to get myself one...

Tough job that one Henry!:)
A great video, thoroughly enjoyed looking at it. Loved the slight prop adjustments taking place, really delicate hands on stuff.
Cracking boat too, there is something about these classic wooden craft.
How is reality today though?:ambivalence:

This would explain Sharons indifference when I asked "how was Tenerife?". Very good vid.

:) :)

I didn't use the 50mm lens very much on that video. I was mainly using the 18-135mm zoom lens, very versatile. I did use the 70-300mm lens a bit as well.

I used the 50mm a bit more this video from our cruise over christmas.

It's a good lens the 50mm, I bought it just before the cruise and was very pleased. It allows low light pictures to be taken without using flash and also allows for some interesting depth of field shots.
