About ten boat loads turned up for the Conwy meet, though one or two forgot there boat. Lambada turned up with a boat, but the HM told him to sod off cos it was to big. So he did and then came back in his dinghy and bought every one fish and chips. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Even the weather was kind to us.

The only one to let the side down was the HM, who I pestered and pesterd to get us all on one pontoon. So he put me on one pontoon, then when every one else turned up, he put all them on another one. So after all my hard work, we're left as billy no mates, all on our own. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Thank Christ for rubber dinghys. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Loads of pic's to follow.

So we all ended up on Little Ship, with loads of dogs and a parrot, after a visit to the pub and the Fish and chips. philliz said how much easier it was than he thought and would deffinatly come again. So easy, we're still there!!. The Major came, kilter, James with his big steel yacht, even Captain Creosote turned up. Mistig ?? passed by to say hello, before passing on to Anglsey. Lawsey turned up, to say he was not well, then Kwackers had different problems. We keep trying to sink LS with free loaders. not quite made it yet.

T'was great meeting you all.
I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer. It really hurts to know we missed a good party. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

And I'm sure the shingle extended further down the beach 20years ago! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
(got very muddy feet dragging the dinghy back into the water)

Cheers
John

T'was I.

I was torn between staying to talk b*ll*cks with all the old f*rts (present company excepted /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) or making full use of my overnight pass for a brisk and bumpy sail to Moelfre.

The sailing won /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

MF was probably better off on a separate pontoon - the other one looked like a zoo!

I think James must've been coming out of Conwy as I was coming back on Sunday - big white two masted steel yacht that had me trying to decide if it was small or far away. Turned out it was far away, and bloomin' huge.

Glad that it went well,

Andy

I thoroughly enjoyed myself, except I smell of wet dogs now.

Thanks to H and Debs for organising and then standing back while we partied on another pontoon, thanks to Tom and Babs for hosting yet another riotous assembly on Little Ship. Thanks to Andy and June for coughing up with the Fish N Chips, thanks to Phil and Liz for escorting me on the long journey home, thanks to James for showing us his big thing and thanks to Kilter for bringing Jack.

Hi Guys, big thanks to Tom and Babs for the usual hospitality. Good to meet Phil and Liz and see their boat (The Ark). So! has anyone actually worked out what language Haydn was speaking in at the end of the night?

Andy

We seem to have acquired a couple of very nice goblet wine glasses, having narrowed it down to who would own something like this, the Admiral and I think they are yours as everybody else has plastic!or lidles "top quality"!!!!

I will return them if they are still in one piece next time we meet!

Now who nicked my Day Island Yacht Club (plastic) tumbler /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
