Does anyone know of a paint/product that one can apply to an SAA toe rail that will make it look smart again - My perforated one has had so many blocks fitted in different locations (and a little rub against a concrete dock) that the anodising has worn off and looks awful. Many thanks

No knowledge of a paint that will look as good but perhaps others have.

But whilst painful if the vessel is old - taking it off and getting it re-anodised should not be discounted.

A few yachts back - after lots of whinges by a racing crew as to comfort in sitting out over the side - I marked where I needed a lip and where I did not - used an angle grinder and then file to cut away what was superfluous - and had it re-anodised then bolted it back on.

Looked not just custom build - but definitely added to overall appearance.

Thank you for your useful comments - it's interesting that you have been through the same process and ended up with what I had feared to be the inevitable conclusion.

She is an old boat and I was trying to avoid disturbing the the primary thing that holds the deck and hull together!

Thanks
