Anchor chain to anchor warp

I am going to have to replace the anchor chain on my hurley 22, seems straight forward, however the chain has a shackle to the anchor, simple enough. However the other end as the anchor warp spliced into the chain, this enable it to pass through a tube into the chain locker.

the boat is on the hamble, so I was thinking about getting a new chained spliced on by Alladin's, is there anyone else who can do this or is ther another way?

it's pretty easy to do the splice yourself whether you're using anchorplait or 3-strand. marlow do a free instruction sheet which is quite clear.

jimmy green will supply ready-spliced rope/chain. don't know about aladdin's cave but seateach at emsworth will do it for you.

There is a riggers in the boatyard next to Alladins cave. I can't remember their name but they are in the first big shed on the right as you walk down towards the boatyard. You could also try Hamble Ropes and Rigging (in Oxford street, Southampton).

alladdin, they charged me a fiver to do a splice, std charge, see nothing wrong with that, they were also the cheapest on 20 mm nylon 3 strand

If it is 3 strand to chain use the above address. I did the same thing this time last year but had to spread the rope over two links. I also used 'shrinkwrap' and tape to protect the rope where it went through the chain.
There was a an item on this forum that I started in Feb? last year over the same thing, so whether it can be found ....

Thank you all for response, have decided to go the Alladin way, £6 for the splice, however the original anchor warp is multiplait. so keeping it the same by adding more chain.

Thanks again.
