This is sme details concerning the SARCA Anchor. you can also look at the website at www.anchorright.co.uk
The SARCA Anchor is essentially a Sand and Reef/Rock Combination anchor. The design of the anchor allows it to be used in the widest variety of sea floors. 100 per cent of the weight of the Anchor is design to go directly through the toe, thus digging deeper as its pulled into sand or Mud. The slots in the base of the plate are design to break the suction in the anchor when you are retrieving it, making it an easier process. The semi-circle roll bar gives it a self-righting ability. If the anchor lands upside down, it simply rolls itself over and bites in. It then acts as a temporary mooring system as it pivots on its own axis when the boat moves rather than disengaging and having to find another hold. If it does disengage it the roll bar will ensure another hold in less time than any other anchor on the market. The d-shackle that moves along the top of the shank give the anchor the ability to be pulled out of any reef or rock. You just tighten the slack and drive back over the anchor. This slides the d-shackle back, creating an impact at the back of the anchor, thus removing it from behind,
Some other facts about the SARCA:

- All the Marine Fisheries and Coastguard Boats in Australia and New Zealand use it.
- It has been patented worldwide so there will be no other anchors like the SARCA.
- It is the fastest selling anchor in Australia and New Zealand.
- The Anchor comes with a money back guarantee (no other anchor can offer that)
- The stainless anchors are made with 316 stainless steel, and are guaranteed for life.
- Lloyds of London tested the number 15 anchor to 4 times the stress load with no deviation between the toe and the shank.
- It is the only Australian anchor to be approved as a high holding power anchor by the Australian Marine Board.

Not what it seems

Although this looks like a blatant plug for a product it's actually a response to an invitation to comment to a thread running further down by the same title. We asked the manufacturer if he would like to comment and clearly being the first time on the forum he has posted this as new thread by mistake.
