I think the racing is now actually interesting. Several teams evenly matched in performance, so it's down to boat handling and tactics.

GB-USA race even saw a proper (beginnings of a) dial down/up on entry.

The issue is that in the light if you fall off the folis you give up 300m+

I agree. I think the light winds are spoiling this. They are too focussed on keeping the boat foiling rather than racing tactics.

ok so the way to beat AM is to get them in a tacking duel and let them run out of hydraulic pressure. Great win for the Swiss. My chums are all celebrating like they won the cup!!

At this stage it's better to be quick and making mistakes than slow but polished....
Whilst I agree in principle this is not the first boundary error and whatever they are doing with the software they need to change! Missing the boundary is not a speed issue it's navigation.

Britannia are beginning to look strong - they've eliminated most of the silly errors and have very good boat speed.

On current form it should be Britannia vs Luna Rossa in the final of the LV cup

Yes a great day for INEOS GB today - What did we learn on day 7 of the Louis Vuitton Cup Round Robin?

But very unusual conditions, bigger breeze but a lot of waves from yesterday. Whether this will translate into more success in lighter winds is yet to be seen. Fingers crossed.

If they race today it should be light. If Ineos are quick then, LR will start to get very nervous.

LR vs Alinghi, Ineos vs OE. If one and only 1 of the underdogs win then we get a sail off.

If OE win, but Alinghi don't then OE and Alinghi are on equal points and we have a sail off for 4th place, basically a 1 race "loser goes home" sail off.
If Alinghi win but OE don't then LR and INEOS are on equal points and we have a sail off for 1st place. With the winner being able to pick their opponent.

If both, or neither, of the underdogs win, then the order is unchanged. OE go home and LR win the round robin.

Part of me wants to see the "loser goes home" sail off.

I don’t think they will be racing today looking at the forecast it will be like yesterday or less wind.

We have a race-off for first place!
Yeah... Weird circumstances! Really good job OE didn't beat Ineos. Imagine if they had, only to have Alinghi get handed the win by a mechanical issue on LR!

Now if you're LR do you claim you can't fix and forfeit, or race and risk handing a ton of confidence and momentum to Ineos....

Before we get too carried away we should probably remember that they also won the round robin in Aukland....
